In its current issue, German magazine "Chip: Foto-Video Digital" (one of Germanys biggest computer magazines) awarded the PRAKTICA DVC 10.1 HDMI as a winner in a detailed test. The HD camcorder had been compared with similar compact camcorders from Kodak, Toshiba, Samsung or JVC. Especially its compact construction and various - in this price category rather uncommon - additional features (pre-recording, manual white balance or the backlighting LED) led to the victory.
The test states the following: "Although designed in a horizontal format, the Praktica is built really compact and comes close to the pocket camcorders. On matters of functionality, it's superior towards the pockets: The backlighting mode is only one fingertip away - a little helper with big impact [...] - the manual white balance [...] is only offered by the Toshiba H30 [...]. The Praktica shows, that not only pocket-camcorder can be small and offers features like pre-recording or a manual white balancing." 	Two models were added to the series of telescopes of PENTACON company: PRAKTICA 20-60 x 77 and PRAKTICA 15-45 x 60. The two telescopes used qualitative glass. There is the possibility of becoming SLR cameras and use the telescope as a lens. For example, the telescope PRAKTICA 20-60 x 77 corresponds to the lens with a zoom 1000-3000!

Novotronik company has organized the chess tournament in honor of the 60 anniversary of formation of Israel. In the competition have taken part more than 150 participants. Georgy Vitebsky from Tel Aviv has won the tournament with brilliant result of 7.5 points out of 9 possible. With all heart we congratulate the champion and we wish him success not only at chess, but also with photographing. Poland is still a big institution in the Polish society. Every year Catholics all over the country are celebrating the so-called Pope-Day, a festivity with gatherings and huge bonfires. At this years fire a young Polish captured a picture of flames that in the silhouette looked like a picture of the pope.
Poland caught up on this story and broadcasted it instantly. Surprisingly this picture was made with a PRAKTICA LUXMEDIA 5203 and it shows the excat time when the pope passed away two years ago.

Manual adjustments are added: Aperture = setting of aperture, Shutter = setting of shutter value, Manual = manual setting of aperture and shutter. Face Detection, Face Tracking (This is done by a tracing algorithm which allows a permanent re-sharpening of the image).
